Beneath blackened skies a silence settles
Oppressive stench of burning fuel and fear
Alongside bodies strewn lay takes in ruin
This place where warriors come to die
No longer waiting the living stir beneath the dead

Two men yet live in this abattoir
To rise from the cradle of war
In a hole with a club and above with a bayonet
They mean to kill and kill they will
Blow follows blow and the wounds slowly mount
A mind of murder encounters no doubt:
A hero will rise from the slaughter of meeker men

Relentless, savage, their conflict continues
Mouths well with iron and sand sticks with blood
As the sun goes black from above
Burning!
The world is ablaze
Burn!
And feed the fire with your lives
The sky rains down the barren soil
And the earth heaves as it is cleft
Shrapnel and debris usurp the scenery

Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once..... grote_smurf

PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it. That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter. Matten
